Pre-Delivery Inspections

We complete a pre-delivery inspection on every new and second-hand caravan that leaves Harrison Leisure UK to ensure that every vehicle leaves us in a condition we can be proud of.

As part of this inspection, we check:

• All chassis and mechanical fittings are checked greased and adjusted
• All electrical parts are safe to use and working correctly
• Gas fittings and all appliances have soundness checks
• Water systems have no leaks
• Interior panels, furniture and fittings are all checked for wear and tear, and repaired if necessary (repaired on 2nd hand by agreement).
• Exterior lights and bodywork is also checked and repaired if necessary (repaired on 2nd hand by agreement).

• Damp checks
• Brakes checked and adjusted (rods, linkages and handbrake)
• Road vehicle lighting
• Appliance checks
• Gas soundness (to ensure the van is safe)
• Suspension (assembly and shock absorbers if fitted)
• Wheels (bearings and oil seals)
• Tyres wear and pressure
• Chassis and equipment

Caravan Repairs and Damp

Damp is caused by the sealant breaking down or being disturbed due to varying weather conditions and towing in general, and this can cause problems if undetected or ignored.
